Troy A. Jackson, 55 of Berne, IN. passed away on June 16, 2022. He arrived in this world on February 15, 1967, to his parents Edward and Miriam Jackson. Troy spent most of his childhood in the Adams County area, living briefly in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Shortly after graduating high school, he started pursuing his ambitions. He worked at RB’s Body Shop, Life Star, and Fleetwood doing painting and detailing vehicles, as well as automotive repairs. Troy achieved his dream of owning and operating his own shop for a period of time. In addition, anything with an engine caught Troy’s attention. He especially enjoyed watching NASCAR and even attended a few races. Unfortunately, he was an avid Jeff Gordon fan (but we didn’t hold that against him). His other interests include anything Harley Davidson, the native American culture, and the southwest region of the US (attributed to his short time there). Troy enjoyed just being outside in the fresh air while living his best life. Growing up Troy was no boy scout. He did, however, try to follow their motto of “always be prepared”. He took life as it came with all its ups and downs. Troy constantly listened to music, some hick hop, a little country, and a lot of rock and roll. As with so many of his generation, the 90’s was good to his hair. For a time, he pulled off one amazing Travis Tritt impersonation. Troy had a heart of gold, with love and compassion for family and friends. Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harlan and Maxine Jackson and Raymond and Delilah McAhren. He is survived by his father Edward (Judy) Jackson, his mother Miriam Jackson, brothers Anthony (Krissa) Jackson, Grady (Toni) Hauter, and sister Tina (David Mace) Hauter. Troy also has 3 nieces MacKenzie (Cody Vervynckt) Jackson, Melissa Hauter, Katie Hauter, a nephew Raymond (Bonny Jimenez) Jackson, and a great-niece Tinsley Vervynckt. While he had no children of his own, he did have a couple four-legged fur babies. Please make donations to Paws of Adams County Indiana (www.pawsofadamscounty.com) in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm on Saturday June 25, 2022 at Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society 1415 W. Coliseum Blvd. Fort Wayne , IN 46808 with visitation starting at 3 pm.
