Obituary

Neil W. Wayer, 70 of Ft. Wayne, IN departed this life on September 7, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was born May 24, 1953 to the late Wesley and Mary Jane (Wilcoxson) Wayer. Neil is survived by his longtime partner, Lucy Vogt and his two daughters, Melissa Nolder and Andrea Melton, both of Virginia. He had five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Siblings include Linda Ogram, Cheryl Wagner, Dean, Gary, Denis, John and Margaret Wayer.

He graduated from North Side High School in Ft. Wayne in 1972. Neil was a dedicated worker for several companies during his lifetime, and retired from Parkview Hospital Warehouse in 2016. He was a Pittsburg Steeler fan, he loved to fish and watch NASCAR races.

Neil will be sorely missed by his friends and family. If he knew anyone had a need for repairs, remodeling, transportation or whatever, he was always eager to help them.

A celebration of Neil's life will be announced in the Spring around the time of his birthdate in May.
