Michael Rhoades

Michael Neil Rhoades was reunited with his father in heaven on August 8th, 2023. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on October 8th, 1970 to Howard Eugene Rhoades and Cecilia Nan (Bojrab) Rhoades.

Mike attended Paul Harding High School. He and his former partner, Tonia (Black) Worman welcomed his only child, Diana together as well as helping raise step daughters, Lacey (Cooper) Hendricks and Cala Cooper. He was also a father figure to Cheyenne Sutherland. He enjoyed driving for a living and meeting people from all walks of life. Mike was a classic car enthusiast; owning a purple 1965 Chevy Impala at one time. He loved all genres of music, it just had to be loud! Mike will be remembered for his willingness to help out a friend in need or just be there to keep you company. His greatest talent was his ability to make you laugh!

Mike is survived by his mother, Nan. Brothers: Brian, Shawn and David Baumgartner. Nieces: Shawnna Menzie, CeCelia (Baumgartner) Roberts, Tricia, Lindsay, and Cheyenne Baumgartner. Nephews: Jeremy Menzie, Jerrald Couch, David, Joseph, Eric and Devin Baumgartner. His legacy lives on through his Daughter: Diana June Rhoades. Granddaughter: Harmoni Shanna Renee Cunningham. Grandson: Kodah Eugene Cooper. Mike was preceded in death by his father Howard, uncle Jack Rhoades, sister in law Susan (Bley) Baumgartner and cousin Carolyn (Rhoades) Lawson.

A celebration of life will be held at the Aboite Township Community Room (11321 Aboite Center Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46814) on Sunday, September 17th at 11-6.
