Melinda Queen Obituary

Melinda J. Queen, 65, of Fort Wayne died September 28, 2023, at Woodcrest Nursing Home.

She was born July 28, 1958 in Chillicothe, OH to Forest Blazer and Barbara (Miller) Adkins.

Melinda married Clarence S. “Sam” Queen on October 2, 1981 in Fort Wayne. She was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service.

She attended West Missionary Church. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 82, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survived by her husband Clarence J. “Sam” Queen; daughter Deborah (Keith) Landis; four sons Timothy W. (Vickie) Stockert Jr., Scott M. (Angla) Stockert, Joseph (Jenny) Stockert and Fred Queen; Father Forest Blazer; two brothers Chester (Susie) Straley and Frank Sudduth; one sister Tina Straley; fourteen grandchildren.

Preceded in death by mother Barbara Adkins and one granddaughter Tabitha Stockert.

Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, with viewing three hours prior to service.
