Mary Denise Shearer, 44, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was born on August 2, 1979 to Gina and Michael Shearer Sr.

From childhood forward, Mary loved music, playing piano at age 5. She was a cheerleader, majorette, involved in gymnastics and ballet. She was a safety patrol at her elementary school and was involved in several fundraiser walk-a-thons for her school. She was a Rainbow Girl at Bykota Masonic Lodge #333 in Green Acres, Florida for several years. She graduated from Driftwood Academy private school in Lake Park, Florida.

Mary was a true friend to all who knew her. She adored and was a great, loving mother to her son, Gary. He was always her foremost priority, her pride and joy. She participated in many activities that he was involved in, and coached his soccer teams for five years.

Fondly known as “Tink”, she is survived by her son, Gary McKee III (Jessica Lugo); dad, Michael Sr. (Ruth) Shearer; mom, Gina Shearer (Roger Holden); brother, Michael Jr. (Kandra) Shearer; niece, DeLayna Shearer; nephew, Michael Bryson Shearer; paternal grandfather, Charles (Cathy) Shearer; aunt, Sylvia (Mike) Middleton; ex-mother-in-law Charlene Manning and numerous other relatives and extended family members.

Mary was preceded in death by daughter, Mia Shea McKee; ex-husband Gary McKee II; paternal grand-parents, Mary and Lou Lewis; maternal grand-parents, Charles and Jewell Fruzzetti; and numerous other relatives and extended family members.
