Lee Reinking Obituary

Lee Matthew Reinking, 53, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 16th, 2024. He was born on May 11, 1970, to John Reinking and Irene Fellows (Christensen). He attended Snider High School and was a part of the graduating class of 1988.

In Lee's early 20’s, he began his lifetime career in the flooring industry. Apart from managing his company, Lee enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, playing cards, or strumming a guitar. He spent most of his weekends doing home improvements, such as building a colossal shed, creating a beautiful garden in his backyard, or transforming his living room into a cat sanctuary. He really took pride in his home and loved cooking and baking. One of his favorite pastimes was watching The Chicago Cubs baseball games in person or on the television, listening to music into the wee hours of the morning, and traveling across the pond to see his family. He was proud of his English Heritage and may have preferred Union Jack over the Stars and Stripes. Lee told the best stories, and you could always be guaranteed a laugh or two if you were in his presence. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Lee is survived by his children, Brittany (Jon) Galbreath, Nicholas Reinking, Alec (Zakary) Roane; grandchildren Alyxis and Jackson Galbreath; Father John Reinking; Sister Nicola (Tom) Strachota of Appleton, WI; niece Alyssa Strachota and nephew Aidan Strachota of Appleton, WI, cousin Colin (Anita) Marriot of the Sussex, UK; along with many loving friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother Irene (Susie) Christensen.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Midwest Funeral Home and Cremation Society located at 1415 W. Coliseum, Fort Wayne, IN with visiting hours from 1-3pm and a service held at 3pm. A meal will follow the service at the funeral home.
