Larry Smith

Larry Smith, 48, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. He was born on April 8, 1975 to George and Gloria Smith. 

Larry graduated from Snider High School in 1993, then attended Indiana Tech, where he studied business for 2 years. His favorite food was macaroni and cheese. Larry loved Chicago Bears Football, music from The Diplomats and DJ L Boogie DJing Events. Larry was the life and laughter of all family events. He was a founding member of 662 East Side.

Larry was a proud grandfather, who enjoyed wearing a suit and tie. He excelled at managing hotels, training staff, being a concierge with excellent customer service, and a general manager in several cities and states including, but not limited to, New Haven Indiana, Fort Wayne Indiana, Milwaukee Wisconsin and Washington DC

Larry is survived by his mother and father, Gloria and George Smith; brothers, Juan and George II Smith (Nina); sister, Aritha Harvey-Ganaway; son, Larry Smith Jr.; daughter, Makaya Walker; granddaughter, Kalani Smith and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Luther and Louise Smith; grandfather and grandmother Leanbirgh and Morristine Fitts and previously departed loved ones
