Kyle Andrew Vandermotten, 31, of Leo, Ind., passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Kyle was born on Feb. 2, 1991 (Ground hog's Day!). Kyle enjoyed running, fishing and spending time with family. He felt being a dad was his greatest accomplishment. He was proud of being a supervisor at C. Henry Steel and enjoyed his time working at Buffalo Wings and Ribs. He felt most at peace when in nature. Kyle has always been an avid supporter of and passionate for the betterment of veterans' lives. He spent his adult years donating and supporting those in need whatever way he could. He is survived by son, Rylan Andrew Vandermotten; mother, Kimberley Vandermotten Englert; siblings, Kelsey, Kaley, Cara, and Sean; mother of his son, Sarah Federspiel; a niece, nephews, and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by father, Andrew Vandermotten; stepfather, Jeffrey Englert; and grandparents, Michael and Jean Fitzgerald, and Roderick and Mary Vandermotten. A Celebration of Life is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at Metea County Park, 8401 Union Chapel Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46845). The entry fee will be waved at the entrance. Flowers can be sent to the Nature Center and delivered anytime after 10 a.m. on Thursday.
