Harold (Dick) Lehmbeck, 78, of Fort Wayne passed away August 10, 2023. He was born to the late Harold and Gertrude Lehmbeck on May 14, 1945.
After graduating from Central High School, he was drafted into the US Army, serving as a mechanic and stationed in Germany.
He worked at Joslyn Slater Steel for over 35 years and later with F.W.C.S.
He was a true car guy, owning and building over two dozen cars and trucks. His favorite, a '32 Ford pickup. He also enjoyed drawing and sketching, mainly cars.
As a long time member of the Fort Wayne Street Rod Association, he was always looking for a car show to attend with his friends, especially the Muddy River Run. He was a member of Legion Post 296 and F.O.E 3512.
He is survived by his wife Tanna (Gronau) of 57 years; son, Tracy; daughter, Heather (Gary) Lyons; grandchildren, Amanda (Joe) Long, Amber (Christian) Navaro, Gary (Courtney) Lyons, Chellsea (Josh) Lyons; six great grandchildren; sister, Mary Scoggins.
Visitation will be held at an open house at their home.
