Obituary
Gregory W. Ummel, 68, of Fort Wayne, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, in Fort Wayne. Born May 3, 1954, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Richard Ummel and Mildred Hensley. He retired from B. F. Goodrich in 2019 to care for his wife. Greg loved hanging out with his grandchildren, especially his great-granddaughter, Winter Rose. Surviving is his daughter, Trena (Dave) Peterson; sisters, Pam (Mike) Feldman and Darcy (Andrew) Moses; brother, Jeremy Ummel; grandchildren, Dylan, Austin, Hunter, Gavin, and Carson; and great-granddaughter, Winter Rose. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ummel; parents; and brother, Richard Ummel. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements made by Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society.
