Gary (Tige) Hensch Jr, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was born on May 1, 1971. In his younger days his hobbies included playing soccer, hockey, drag racing, and working on cars. He graduated from ITT with an Associates Degree in Auto Engineering in 1992.
In his later days, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and granddaughters. He loved watching NASCAR, soccer, swimming in and tending to his pool, shooting guns with his wife, and drinking an ice cold Budweiser with his friends.
To outsiders, Tige seemed to be a stubborn and difficult man but to those of us that really knew him, he was a big mushy teddy bear. He would do anything for anyone at any time. Christmas time was his favorite time of the year and he was the most giving man to anyone who was struggling.
August 23, 2008, Tige married his soulmate Michelle at The First Christian Church in Fort Wayne and together they raised their 4 children in Fort Wayne and was absolutely ecstatic about becoming a Papaw of 5 beautiful granddaughters.
As the children grew into adults and moved out, he enjoyed taking his wife on vacations to unwind. He loved sitting for hours to watch the sunrise and stare at the ocean.
He worked for 18 years with National Oil and Gas. One of his greatest accomplishments he and his wife achieved, was purchasing an auto repair business in June 2023. He continued working at National Oil and Gas while his wife tended to the Auto Shop.
Tige is survived by his wife Michelle, his daughters Ashley (Ashley) Hensch, Sloan Hensch, Miranda (Tucker) Adam and son Grant Rogalski. Granddaughters Peytan, Willow, Ivy, Olivia, and Sophia, mother and father in law, Betty and George Luster.
Siblings, Shari McDonald, Travis (Tammy) Richardson, Trina (Dave) Millar, Josh Richardson, Jaimee (Nick) Rogalski and grandmother Zada Covey, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Barbara; Ted Richardson, maternal grandparents Ennis and Virginia Brown, Aunt Lea Jackson, Uncle Larry Brown, nephew Cole Richardson, & paternal grandparents Geraldean; Robert Hensch.
Tige has touched many people in his short 52 years on this earth and he will be greatly missed each and every day.
