Franklin Bell Obituary

Frank went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 7th, 2023 just a few weeks shy of his 80th birthday. Frank was born in North Dakota into a family of 16 to parents John and Thelma (German) Bell. Growing up he learned the value of hard work and family. In school, he excelled at sports, participating in football, basketball, baseball, and track. Frank served in the USAF from 1963-1966. Frank received his Bachelor's in Education from Ellendale Teachers College, his Masters in School Administration from Wright State University, and he was pursuing a Doctorate of Theology from Freedom Bible College. Over the years, Frank has served in many roles, working diverse jobs including State Trooper, manager of a storage facility for almost 30 years, and director of a boys  home. But the majority of his career was spent in teaching and school administration. Retiring from Dayton Christian School System in 2008.

Frank loved young people and served as a host for foreign exchange students for several years, while also directing the exchange program for Dayton Christian Schools. Frank is survived by his wife, Karen (Brown), and three sons and their wives: Rhett (Melissa), Mark (Jennifer), and William (Theresa). Also, surviving are his grandchildren: Garett Jones (Molly), Kendra Bell, Ashley Leifheit (Andy), Christopher Bell, Micah Bell (Ali), Daniel Bell, Mikaela Bell, Christin Hague (Josh), Matthew Bell, Thomas Harris (Marlen), Jade Harris, Caeden Bell, Luke Harris, Allisson Bell, Jack Harris, Dakota Bell. Great-grandchildren: Landon Jones, Ethan Leifheit, Jaxon Jones, Eliza Leifheit, and Mariana Ahuatl. Frank is also survived by siblings Dauna, Grace, Dulcie, Andrea, Len, and Forrest. Going before him in death are his parents, John and Thelma, and nine of his brothers and sisters, including his twin brother, Winston.
