Christine R Meek

Christine R Meek found peace on Monday, April 11, 2022 after a 5 year battle with cancer. Born on October 1, 1967 in Fort Wayne, Indiana she spent the majority of her early years in Woodburn, Indiana and graduated from Woodlan High School. Christine continued her education at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, graduating with a bachelors degree in English and Communications Media. After working in the Indianapolis area for several years as a manger for Kroger, she returned to Fort Wayne to be closer to family, spending some time as an associate director with the national accounting firm KPMG. She then moved into the non-profit sector with the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, enjoying nearly twenty years supporting grant seeking organizations and donors to the foundation as well as assisting in the management of the foundation. Christine also passionately served on the board of
directors and as a volunteer for the Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. Christine is survived by her father John P Meek; mother Linda Roemke; step-father Craig Roemke, all of Fort Wayne and sister Tara Roemke of Oakland, CA along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A reception welcoming friends and family to celebrate Christine’s life will be held at Midwest Funeral Home and Cremation Society from 5 to 7 the afternoon of Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Preferred memorials are Black Pine Animal Sanctuary and the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne
