Charles Burd Obituary

Charles E. Burd, 82 of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on October 28, 2023. He was born on January 2, 1941 to Harry and Madeline Burd.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Michelle (Toby) Martin, Matthew (Deb) Burd, grandchildren Cody Book, Jacob Martin, Brendan Schenkel, Antonia Wilson, Montana Martin, Devin Naylor, Kelsie Schenkel and Kaylen Schenkel. Also surviving are his brothers John (Rose Wolkins) Burd and Richard (Kathy) Burd, 9 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Vickie A. Burd and son Michael E. Burd.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held at 3pm Friday November 10, 2023 at Midwest Funeral Home and Cremation Society, 1415 W. Coliseum Blvd., Fort Wayne with visitation from 1-3pm. Interment will take place at a later date at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
