CAROLYN (PHILLIPS) PSEHES, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Ind. Born Sept. 23, 1941, in Markle, Ind., she was a daughter of the late James and Helen (Guynn) Phillips of Huntington, Ind. She attended Huntington Township High School. She later married her husband, Christian Fay Psehes on Aug. 7,1980. She was a long time resident of Fort Wayne where she proudly worked alongside her husband "Mr. Fay", at the Sands Supper Club. Carol was an accomplished artist, and was a member of the World Organization Of China Painters where she won several awards and recognitions. She commissioned hand painted art for the Indiana Governors Mansion, as well as art displayed at the Vice President's residence in Washington D.C. She was a member of a local china paintings club Pallet Talk. She loved teaching and sharing her art with others. Carol also enjoyed decorating elegant cakes for family and friends, and was a gifted seamstress. Carol has three children, Kimberly (North) Barton of Fort Wayne, Karen North of Gaithersburg, Md., and Timothy North (deceased - formerly of Altadena, Calif.); and daughter-in-law, Susan Maunu of Altadena, Calif. Other survivors include her sisters, Patricia (Larry) Rosen, Rebecca (Hank) Lahr and Debra (Randy) Larkey; brother, Donald Phillips; and grand-children, Krystal (Eric) Garber, Stephanie Ford, Phillip North and Trista North. Carolyn was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Phillips, Dean Phillips and Rick Phillips; and grandchildren, Summer Barton and Sebastian Ford- Gonzalas. A celebration of life is from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Landmark Centre, 6222 Ellison Road, Fort Wayne.
